Miracle

Miracle, a false killer whale (Pseudorca crassidens)

Stranded November 1996.  Miracle was airlifted from the Gulf of Mexico to our rehabilitation facility.  Blood cultures revealed several blood abnormalities. 

Miracle succumbed to her health problems shortly thereafter and the necropsy revealed signs of cardiomyopathy.  Miracle was estimated to be only 2 years old at the time of her passing.
