TMMSN Marine Mammal Rescues and Rehabilitations
The TMMSN has rescued hundreds of animals, far more than is pictured on this
page.
The profiles of the animals below include those animals that were rescued and survived
the transport to the rehabilitation facility.
Some of the
animals below did not survive rehabilitation, while others were
rehabilitated and either released back where they belong in the wild
ocean, or were deemed non-releasable by NMFS, and were placed with
suitable marine parks to join other captive dolphins. In any case, all the animals that have been
rescued by TMMSN volunteers have an important place in our records and in our memories.
